Server setups
Choose a setup to explore its configuration.
Players need Vintage Story from vintagestory.at (Windows, Linux or macOS) on exactly the same version as the server. The game's launcher moves players to the newest stable version, so the server follows it.
The server updates itself to the newest stable version on every start, after saving a copy of the world. To stay on one version, for example while mods catch up, enter it in the Startup tab. Players can download older versions from their account at vintagestory.at.
Upload mods to data/Mods in the game panel's file manager. Players download them automatically when they join.
